St. Anthony's RC Church, Rutherglen
Margaret Miller Children's Liturgy Group
St.Anthony’s Liturgy first met in August 1995 and was formed by Anne Ferry and other parent parishioners. The liturgy group weekly attracts between 45-60 children between the ages of 4 - 9 years. In July 2007, the group was re named in memory of our then leader Margaret McHugh Miller who died after a brave battle against cancer on 15 June 2007.
A team of parents led now by Susanne Reily, are on hand every Sunday during the 11.30am Mass to take the children for ‘their own special part of the Mass’. During this time, the Gospel story is read to the children and a follow-up activity is undertaken to help reinforce the gospel story. Children return to the main body of the church during the offertory.
The liturgy groups meets every Sunday at 11.30am during term time.
If you are interested in either participating as a Leader or would wish your child to join in why not call Susanne on 0141 641 2746 or simply come along - all welcome!!
