This Week's Service
"All the Feasts of the Church are beautiful, Christmas has a gentleness, a childlike tenderness that captures my heart."
SUNDAY 19th DECEMBER, 2010 - 4th SUNDAY OF ADVENT, (A)
CHRISTMAS 2010 AT ST. ANTHONY'S
From Canon Allison, Father MacLean and Deacon Michael Ross
Saint Pio of Pietrelcina (Padre Pio)
It is our sincere prayer that the infant Jesus, whose birthday we celebrate once more may favour you all with His choicest gifts and graces, and that the Peace and Happiness of Christmas will remain with you throughout 2011!
And from our Bishop...
"When we talk about getting back to the real meaning of Christmas, what we mean is the religious and spiritual meaning of Christmas. Christmas is the celebration of the birthof the Lord. Christmas is about what God is doing in Christ for us and for the world. These are profound religious convictions surrounding the fact that Christmas is a holy day. In the Christmas event, each one of us is blessed. No wonder Tiny Tim was able to say with complete truth in his simple grace "God Bless us, everyone". I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year."
