Canon Harry Allison
Canon Harry J. Allison was born in Letterkenny in Co. Donegal. He was ordained to the priesthood on the 9th June 1958, having studied at St. Peter's Seminary in Wexford. Although a Donegal man. Canon Harry's first appointment as a newly fledged priest was in Chapelhall Airdrie. He has continued his service of religious life within the diocese of Motherwell, spending time in Coatbridge, Hamilton, Bothwell, East Kilbride and at present, St. Anthony's in Rutherglen since September 1987.

In April 2008 he was made an Honorary Canon of the Church. Bigger was still to come! On 8th of June 2008, Canon Harry celebrated 50 years in the priesthood - an achievement many dream of and few realise!

On Tuesday 14th December 2010 Canon Allison will attend a special Mass at MotherwelL Cathederal where he will be received as a fully fledged Member of the Chapter - in short a Real Canon!!!

Deacon Michael Ross
Deacon Michael Ross was ordained at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in East Kilbride in September 2008. St. Anthony's is Michael's first appointment. Michael is married and is the father of two children, both of whom are in school. He is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the NHS.

Father John McLean
Father John McLean was born in Coatbridge. He decided to enter the priesthood during his time in National Service in the RAF.   He enrolled at Osterley, a late vocations college run by the Jesuits. In 1963 he joined the  White Fathers. He was ordained priest in 1970 in his home parish of St. Bartholomew’s in Coatbridge, (where he first met Canon Allison).

He has served the priesthood in many different parts of the world; Uganda, Milawi, Rome, Philidelphia, London and Dublin, before  returing home to Scotland.

He was appointed to St. Anthony’s, in 1999 where and hopes fervently to remain here!
